The Blinders Online client

Blinders Online runs on a custom OTClientV8 (OTCv8) client. It is a modern, open-source alternative to the official Tibia client, built for performance, extra features and full control over the game interface.

The client speaks the Tibia 10.98 protocol (1098), while the gameplay is intentionally tuned to feel like version 7.71 — classic mechanics, balance and pacing running on a modern engine.

Download it from the Downloads page. Once installed it keeps itself up to date automatically.

Highlights

Built-in auto-updater — on launch the client asks our website for a signed update manifest and downloads only the files that changed. You always get the latest modules and data without re-downloading the whole client.
Task Hunter — a hunting system opened from the client's task window. Pick tasks and tiers, track kills live and earn bonus experience.
Autoloot — configure which items your character picks up automatically.
Health bars — an optional mod that draws monster health bars directly in the game window.
Action bars & hotkeys — bind spells, runes, potions and items for fast combat.
Modern interface — a retro desktop layout plus a dedicated mobile layout, with a minimap, VIP list, quest log and configurable graphics and shaders.
Cross-platform — available for Windows (otclient.exe) and Linux (otclient-release).

Modules included

The client ships with a large set of modules, including: task hunter, autoloot, imbuement, prey, forge, market, shop, quest log, action bar, battle list, containers, minimap, hotkeys, VIP list, NPC trade, player trade, mounts, outfits and more. Server-specific systems such as the crafting and rarity systems are integrated into the client interface.

Automatic updates

Updates are delivered by the native in-game updater. When you start the client it requests a signed manifest from our website and verifies the signature before applying anything, so a tampered update cannot reach your computer. Only changed files are downloaded and the client rebuilds its data archive automatically. If a restart is needed, the client performs it for you.

Tip: Install the client in a folder you own (for example inside your user folder) so the updater can write to it. Do not block the client in your firewall — it needs access to the update endpoint.

Installing and updating

Download the client archive from the Downloads page.
Extract it to a folder and run otclient.exe (Windows) or otclient-release (Linux).
Let the updater finish before logging in — it keeps you on the version the server expects.
Log in with your account. The client is already configured for Blinders Online; no extra setup is required.

Troubleshooting

The client will not start — make sure all files were extracted, then run it as administrator (Windows) or grant execute permission (Linux).
Update fails — check your internet connection and that the client is allowed through your firewall and antivirus, then restart the client.
Outdated client — delete the client folder and download a fresh copy from the Downloads page.
